Practical lint remover for $1.97

[ad_1]

Hey, guys! Just a heads up: The linked offer is already a bit older and the price of the gadget might have changed or it might not be available anymore.

I, like many other people probably, like to watch so-called satisfying compilations and other videos. Recently, I have noticed that this lint remover has been around quite often. Instead of the well-known lint roller you can use it to remove the annoying particles.

  • Lint remover
  • Smaller version

Everybody knows it, you like to wear your favourite clothes often and with pleasure, but the friction of the fabric layers quickly produces annoying lint. Most of the time I just try to pick them off, but even that is time-consuming and annoying. I’m not a big fan of typical lint rolls with an adhesive surface either. It works more or less well, causes a lot of garbage (if you have to peel off the individual layers and throw them away) and is mostly more suitable for hair or similar, because the clothing lint is more resistant then.

The lint remover has a total length of 17.5 cm and can remove lint with a width of 13.5 cm. So the whole process should not take too long. There are two layers of copper on the head piece, which are ribbed at the top and bottom. So even the last fluff should be taken away – in theory. In the videos the whole thing looks not too bad:

What do you think about it: are you more the classic lint roll type or are you open for new possibilities of a lint free existence?

New mini drone by Xiaomi?

[ad_1]

Hey, guys! Just a heads up: The linked offer is already a bit older and the price of the gadget might have changed or it might not be available anymore.

Every few months a new mini-drone appears, which is supposed to be the next big hit. Usually there is a futuristic design and a catchy or “just strange” name. The new Jellyfish drone, which originates from the Xiaomi ecosystem and can now be ordered from, also hits exactly this notch.

Jellyfish Drone at GearBest for $115.14

Like a jellyfish in the ocean

The drone does not originate from Xiaomi itself, but is sold in China via their platform and could just as well carry the Mi logo with its white cladding and packaging. Instead, an ornate “H” is emblazoned on the drone’s box, but even on Xiaomiyoupin, the brand name is not immediately recognizable. In China, there’s even an “Avengers” or “Iron Man” version of the drone – Endgame probably has a bigger fanbase there than here.

The name Jellyfish sounds strange at first, but there’s probably a reason for it. First of all, the drone is supposed to look like a jellyfish. This may require a bit of fantasy, but it can be seen in the beginning. And as freely as a jellyfish “floats” through the water, the Jellyfish drone should also glide through the air. Actually, it’s a nice analogy.

But to the facts. The drone is about 102 x 102 mm, 3.3 cm high and weighs 100 grams. It is not controlled by classic remote control but exclusively via smartphone with a corresponding app. This is where the first problem potentially arises: First of all, a Chinese app will probably be developed and only in the second step will an English translation be created. All in all, a good or bad app can determine the overall success of the drone. Because of the proximity to Xiaomi, we are cautiously optimistic about the quality, but Xiaomi also likes to stand out with purely Chinese apps. Additionally, the Jellyfish can also be controlled by hand gestures.

Besides that, there are a few appealing features. It already starts with the transport box, which also serves as a charging station for the removable battery. Theoretically, it can even charge two batteries at the same time, but of course you have to have them first.

There are “smart” flight modes, like a tracking function, but also automated flight maneuvers like a 360° shot. And speaking of recording: The camera can record videos in HD, i.e. with a resolution of 720p. All in all, with the available features it is probably on a par with the RYZE Tello.

Evaluation

Nothing is really revolutionary here, but the overall package still looks attractive. In order to compete with the Tello, which is already established, the price still needs to be adjusted. For a little over $100, which you currently have to pay at GearBest, I don’t see the Jellyfish in front yet. But you should keep an eye on it, because it looks very promising.

CaDA C61018W sports car with remote control (1696 parts) from $56.11

[ad_1]

Hey, guys! Just a heads up: The linked offer is already a bit older and the price of the gadget might have changed or it might not be available anymore.

The last building blocks set on our site, which we introduced to you, came from Xiaomi. This kit from CaDA is a sports car we found at the China shops. This kit is with 1696 parts one of the biggest kits CaDA has in their assortment.

CaDA Sports Car at AliExpress from $56.11

CaDA Sports Car At GearBest for $64.99

CaDA shows here again that a model with many clamping modules does not have to cost much. This can be seen in the other kits which we have already examined. Besides the military vehicles or even the rifle CaDA apparently has a preference for sports car kits. Especially this model is not to be found at other, large manufacturers.

CaDA is sports car crazy

In addition to the CaDA 919, which is only available from CaDA, you now also have this sports car, which in real life is one of the super sports cars. The similarity to a certain brand can be seen in CaDA, but the texture is changed in some details and/or kept very simple, so that CaDA can sell the models.

True to detail on other levels

CaDA is again focusing on many details. Besides the well-built exterior, CaDA also puts a lot of effort into the interior. For example, you have a very detailed appearance that comes very close to the real car. Sports bucket seats and a sports steering wheel are too clearly visible. In addition, a centre console, which is revealed by a sticker. This is probably a model which leaves nothing to be desired.

The sports cars from CaDA all have that in common! Through stickers they are given racing cars or even super sports cars similar approaches. Of course the CaDA 919 is a racing car, but the other kit of this brand has also some small stickers, which indicate the original.

CaDA Sports Car Backside

With the current kit CaDA also uses active LED headlights. This was not available in the other kits, no matter if from CaDA or Xiaomi. But also the hinged trunk and rear window are important details. Especially as there is really a suitcase in the trunk.

Through the rear window one can see the large engine, just as it is in reality. Such details make a model to a real model, what I personally like very much. These stickers or also the LEDs enhance the model in terms of appearance.

Motor & Remote Control

Important: There is a motor, but it is not always there. The cheap version (~$60) is delivered without motor. If that is enough for you, you get a comparatively cheap model here. But if you want the motorized version, you have to add a few dollars and pay about $90.

In our experience the system is identical to the other kits we have built and/or written about. Therefore I am very confident that everything will work here too – so far we have not been disappointed here.

This model has two engines for the front and rear axle. In addition, there is the battery to power both the motors and the LED headlights.

Evaluation

The kit from CaDA is looking at the price and the pictures a kit that is unparalleled in terms of value for money. Until now hardly any other kit has managed to offer so much for such a “low” price. Be it components, details and technology. But keep in mind that the engine is not included at this low price.

In our experience the construction and the functionality of the kit should not be a problem. If you already have this model or you know more about it, let us know in the comments. Your experience and knowledge can help and who knows, maybe we order the kit and write a detailed review.

Hubsan Zino 2 - successor of the popular drone now available in presale for $399.99

[ad_1]

Hey, guys! Just a heads up: The linked offer is already a bit older and the price of the gadget might have changed or it might not be available anymore.

Now that the Hubsan Zino is more than a year old, a successor is coming onto the market. (There was the Zino Pro, but it was more a small upgrade than an independent model.) The drone carries the simple name Hubsan Zino 2, has a 4K/60fps camera and over half an hour flight time.

Hubsan Zino 2 at GearBest for $399.99 (Presale)

ModelHubsan Zino 2
Dimensions280 x 280 x 120 mm
Weight915 g (with battery)
Battery11.4 V 3800 mAh

<33 minutes flight time

Speed72 km/h
CameraVideo Resolution: 4K (3840 x 2160p) @60fps
FeaturesTracking, RTH, GPS, GLONASS, Gimbal detachable

New model in old style

At first glance, the Zino 2 looks almost exactly like the Zino (1). The basic design hasn’t changed, just add a 2 to the writing on the top. The biggest difference is probably the new camera gimbal. This can now be removed.

If you take the drone in your hand, you will notice another difference. The Zino 2 is 200 grams heavier than its predecessor. One reason for this might be the battery, which has also been upgraded. But together with further optimizations it has a positive effect on the flight time. According to the manufacturer, it should last more than half an hour under ideal conditions, a good 10 minutes more than before. The range should be up to 6 kilometers and the maximum speed as with the Mavic 2 72 km/h… All in all, the Zino 2 seems well equipped for longer shots.

But of course the most important thing is the camera. 4K could already do the first drone, now 4K is also available with 60 fps for the first time. A peak value that even puts you ahead of other models such as the DJI Mavic 2 or the Fimi X8 SE, which only support 30 frames. But will the recordings really be better as a result? This requires more than just a higher frame rate and a few test shots. The bit rate of the video transmission is up to 100 Mbps.

The camera suspension is of course a 3-axis gimbal. The drone has GPS (and GLONASS) supported functions and a tracking feature. For the first time, the remote control includes a display with information about the aircraft, but in addition, the smartphone is mounted underneath, on which the live image of the camera is displayed.

Hubsan Zino 2 – Price and availability

The Zino was quite well received and was praised for its price. The Zino 2 is a bit more expensive, but also offers some important upgrades like the better camera and the much longer flight time. Moreover, its price is still on a par with the Fimi X8 SE, which at least on paper leaves it technically behind.

Currently the drone is available at GearBest in advance for $399.99, after that it is expected to rise again to over $400€. You can also choose between packages with a second battery or an additional carrying bag for a little more money. According to GearBest, shipping will start in January.

Electric toothbrush with touch display for $52.99/44,62€

[ad_1]

Some of you may have already helped fund the toothbrush during the crowdfunding. The Oclean X Pro is an electric toothbrush with touchscreen, app integration and blind zone detection. As the official Pro version of the Oclean X, expectations are high.

Technical data: Comparison to predecessor

Oclean X Pro: Useful Pro version?

If you take a look at the technical data in the table above, it will be difficult to tell the difference between Oclean X Pro and its predecessor. Only the battery life of 30 days is a bit longer than with the Oclean X, the same is true for the short charging time of 2 h. Of course the design has been changed a bit, the color “Navy-Blue” looks quite modern and appealing. The toothbrush rotates the head at 42,000 revolutions per minute. Maybe these are the only changes.

The 0.96 inch OLED touch display, 32 cleaning and maintenance levels, IPX7 certification (dust and water repellent) and the same app as the X: If you are interested in the Pro toothbrush, the best thing to do is to see whether you like the Oclean X in the review and think about the innovations known so far.

32 cleaning modes can be set again in the app.

In the software package and the supposedly most exciting function of the toothbrush is the “blind zone detection” This means that the toothbrush shows its owner after cleaning in percent how much of the teeth have not been cleaned. The value is also shown directly on the display. Let’s hope that the dark display is a little brighter than its older brother. A CE-mark is also part of the game, in terms of workmanship you can rely on the usual Xiaomi quality.

Outlook:

The financing target of the crowdfunding at Indiegogo was reached within a short time, but you can still co-finance here if you are interested in the toothbrush. So you may save a few dollars before the brush is more expensive available in the shops (probably at GearBest and AliExpress). The improved battery performance and the design are definitely points that make the Oclean X Pro interesting, but the innovations to the predecessor model are more than manageable. You could have expected a bit more.

Those who support the Indiegogo campaign will receive their toothbrush in January 2020 when it is shipped. For almost $50, the toothbrush with its smart functions is quite attractive, but according to the current state of knowledge, it should be enough to take the previous model. I have been using the predecessor myself for several months now and have been very satisfied so far. Technically I don’t see any really serious differences in the new model, but I like the Pro version a bit better.

90 FUN down jacket with heating elements for $117.51

[ad_1]

The warm down jacket is available just in time for the cold season for at Banggood for $117.51 with the coupon BEJY14. You can find all the other Singles Day deals here.

The 90 FUN down jacket with two heating zones is something for those who also work outside in winter or want to warm the problem zones at low temperatures. The heating zones are located in the neck and back and are supplied with power via a power bank that is not included. As a frostbite of the editorial staff I was allowed to wear and test the jacket for the last 2 weeks and probably won’t give it away anymore.

Simple 90FUN jacket with hot technology

The jacket is, according to the manufacturer and label, lined with 90% grey goose down (40 g for size L). The rest of the jacket is completely made of polyester. The jacket doesn’t feel cheap or artificial at all. But it is quite smooth, because it should be “waterproof” as well. So far it has kept me dry even in heavy rain, but I think the IPX7 rating is nonsense.

Perhaps this only refers to the bag in which the Powerbank is stored. In general, rain rolls off well at the moment and the fabric absorbs water only very slowly or not at all. For gadgets that are particularly worthy of protection, there is an inner pocket at the top left in addition to the 5 outer pockets (4 normal + USB pocket).

The rest of the processing is also convincing: no loose seams, no cold or leaking areas and the zippers feel very solid and are from YKK, the world’s largest manufacturer of zippers. This may seem like an unimportant detail at first, but after a few months or years the quality of the zippers determines whether the pockets are necessarily open or closed.

The jacket is kept extremely simple. No color accents or patterns, only the zippers stand out from the rest of the jacket. Even the 90FUN logo can only be found on the inside. Personally I like this understatement very much, because from the outside nobody recognizes the technology, which is in the jacket.

If you want to use this technique, the jacket will be a bit more conspicuous, because the button at the bottom right starts to glow. And that brings us to the…

Operation and function of the heating pads

The down keeps the jacket warm at temperatures between 5-10 degrees even without the two heating pads. But if it was colder in the morning or evening, I wanted to switch on the heating. In 95% of the cases the lower setting was still enough for me. This brings the heating pads in the neck and back to 40°C in about 30 seconds. For the higher level of 50°C the jacket with my Anker PowerCore Lite 10000 Powerbank took another 20 seconds longer. There would probably be room in the bag for a 20,000 mAh Powerbank, but I didn’t want to carry around twice as much weight.

In order for the full effect of these heaters to unfold, the jacket must of course not be worn open. Closed, the heat is distributed from the back throughout the jacket. So after a few minutes it gets nice and warm under the jacket and you have your own little “sauna”. The best effect was when I waited standing still on the windy track for the train, because normally you would cool down a bit. The 50°C level was still too warm for me even then, but minus degrees will probably change that.

Xiaomi 90 FUN heating jacket Heating elements
The two heating elements are located on the back and in the neck.

Let’s get to the eye-catching part of the heated 90FUN jacket, the button. The heating zones can be switched on by pressing the button on the lower left side of the jacket for 2 seconds. An LED in the button lights up red. In the beginning, the heating zones are always heated at the higher level (50°C). By pressing the button briefly again, you change to the 40°C level and the LED flashes orange. Fortunately, this flashing takes place in a relatively slow, one-second rhythm, so there is no disco light on the jacket. The heating function is switched off again by pressing the button for a long time.

You don’t really see the blinking of the button, because the LED is not that bright. I think the permanent flashing is just a precaution here, so that the wearer doesn’t forget that the jacket is still on. For a second version, I would like a sensor that detects when the jacket is worn and switches off the light after a few seconds.

With a 10.000 mAh strong power bank one should be able to heat up to 12 hours to 40°C and up to 8 hours to 50°C. However, these times were recorded at 27°C outside temperature.

I managed in the test approx. 7-8 days, on which I used the jacket sometimes only 10 minutes, sometimes over one hour long on 40°C. Then simply recharge the Powerbank at work or at home overnight and use it again for a week. The endurance of course varies greatly depending on the heating level as well as frequency and duration of use. The only negative thing I noticed was the very wide collar. The opening here is simply too big, so that a part of the produced heat gets lost. This problem can easily be solved with a scarf and can be overcome with milder temperatures. However, a bit tighter collar and jacket would have been better.

The jacket is available in sizes S to 2XL. Banggood also gives five measurements on the product page, which you can measure yourself to find the right size. As a rule of thumb you should definitely order a size bigger than usual. I usually wear M and here L fits perfectly.

Despite the heating pads, the jacket is washable according to 90FUN at 30°C (gentle/easy to clean). First remove the power bank and put the cable into the bag and close it. I haven’t washed it yet, as it’s not really dirty yet and I still want to have the good impregnation from the factory. As soon as a wash cycle becomes necessary, I will report here.

Good jacket with gadget factor

The price of the 90FUN-jacket is not cheap with $140, but for a good winterjacket it is reasonable. However, I don’t (yet) know if the lining plus the heating function are enough for the real winter, I will see that in the coming months.

90FUN Down Jacket Label Logo

As a simple and chic autumn-winter transition jacket, however, she does a very convincing job and has already won me over with her gadget factor. But keep in mind that you have to buy the Powerbank if you don’t own one yet.
